Channellock is great product for everyday use – at home or in the field. I purchased these pliers, because the 6 inch model I own was a little too small for certain applications. I suggest that you consider various sizes and types of pliers, as sets, when purchasing – it is alot less expensive that way. One note about quality: I have NEVER had one pair of Channellock pliers develop the “loose and sloppy” joint action after a couple hundered uses (common in the less expensive/lower quality brands). As always, you get what you pay for, and for my money, the Channellock products are worth it. GJM
